(NRS 232.320, 608.250) “Institution” means any public, private, nonprofit or profit facility which derives more than 50 percent of its income by providing residential care for the sick or elderly or persons with mental illness or disabilities. The term includes any nursing home, facility for intermediate care, rest home, convalescent home, home for the elderly and infirm, halfway house, residential center for drug addicts or alcoholics, or any other similar facility, whether licensed or not.
