Which judicial district serves Carson City

The size of the district's bench is set by statute as well: the First Judicial District has two district judges under NRS 3.011 . Under NRS 3.100, district courts hold court at the county seat of each of their counties — court for the consolidated municipality is held in Carson City itself ; the same judges also hold court in Virginia City for Storey County matters .
Carson City is Nevada's capital and its only consolidated municipality, so a single government performs both city and county functions — there is no separate "Carson City County." Although it shares a judicial district with neighboring Storey County, each keeps its own courthouse, and because the Nevada Supreme Court sits in the capital, the Supreme Court Law Library listed below is located here rather than in a county facility.
District court
The district court is Nevada's main trial court — the level that handles felonies, family matters, probate, and larger civil cases. The First Judicial District Court serves Carson City.
Justice court
